In 2018, Marieke launched her own coffee & clothing boutique, Minre, in the heart of Utrecht. Today, Minre has expanded to a second location in Breda and boasts a successful online store. Owner Marieke and marketer Anne share the story behind Minre, their marketing strategy, and how Reloadify fits into their growth.

From a single shop to a thriving online brand
Minre is more than just a coffee & clothing boutique. It’s bigger than that. Together with her team, Marieke has cultivated a community where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their background or style.
Originally, she pursued this mission through her physical boutique—a place that offered not just inspiration, but a true experience. Every detail was carefully considered, from the unique interior and exclusive items to a signature scent that filled the store.
But when the coronavirus pandemic emerged in 2020, Marieke decided to pivot. She launched her online store: Minre.nl. “We just had to do something to stay connected with our customers. It turned out to be a fantastic move because the webshop was an instant hit!” The online store helped the brand grow even further, reaching customers far beyond its physical locations.

Driving visibility and interaction with social media
Minre’s marketing is heavily focused on social media. Marketer Anne explains, “Instagram and TikTok are by far our most important channels. We share tons of outfit inspiration and tap into trends and holidays like Christmas or festival season. We also run regular giveaways to get our customers involved.”
Their strategy has paid off. Minre has built an impressive following, with a combined total of nearly 150,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram. “Social media drives a lot of visibility and interaction for us. We see people primarily engaging through likes, comments, and shares, which in turn boosts our brand awareness.”
Minre’s close-knit community
“On top of that, we organize events to create a real connection,” Anne says. “Think sample sales, influencer events, and special moments like our summer collection launch last year—complete with a dinner at Carmel Market and a fashion show. It’s how we bring our world to life and build a tight-knit community around the Minre brand.”

Email for a personal touch
But alongside social media and events, Minre also relies on email. “Email marketing just feels more personal. We have a direct line to our customers. It also gives us the ability to send more targeted messages, like announcements for new collections or exclusive offers,” says Anne. “Email is a more direct way to communicate, and we’ve found it really drives action!”
“We’ve found that email really drives action!”
In their search for an email marketing tool, they found Reloadify in 2022. “At the time, we chose Reloadify because it’s a Dutch platform, which made communication easy and accessible. It also integrated perfectly with our e-commerce platform. The connection was seamless, which made it a logical choice for us.”
From sending emails to understanding customer needs
“In the beginning, we mainly used Reloadify to send emails, but we’re constantly finding new ways to get more out of it. For example, we analyze which links customers click on in our emails so we can better understand what they like and what they want to see,” says Anne.
“In the beginning, we mainly used Reloadify to send emails, but we’re constantly finding new ways to get more out of it.”
She uses these insights to build new campaigns. And the result? “Our newsletters are getting better open rates, more clicks, and we can see they’re having a real impact. It shows that our approach is working and that we’re getting better at using email as a marketing channel. We’re thrilled with the progress—especially since we’ve only been actively focusing on it for a relatively short time.”
The goal: attract new customers and retain existing ones
Anne and Marieke are focused on bringing in new customers. “A great example is the pop-up on our website that offers new newsletter subscribers a 10% discount. That works incredibly well to introduce new people to Minre.”
But retaining existing customers is also a key item on their marketing roadmap. “We’re putting more and more effort into bringing existing customers back. Through our newsletters, we keep them engaged with outfit inspiration, new collections, and special promotions. We also send abandoned cart reminders and are currently setting up birthday emails. And of course, our events—like sample sales and collection launches—keep customers coming back and make them feel like a true part of our community,” Anne explains.
“Looking ahead, we want to expand our customer retention efforts with more personalized content and targeted recommendations. We love inspiring our customers with new combinations and outfits. If we can make that even more personal, it will align perfectly with what we’re already doing!”

Reloadify’s role in Minre’s customer retention
As Anne and Marieke work to strengthen their bond with existing customers, Reloadify is the perfect partner. “The platform offers more than just sending emails. It helps us gain valuable insights into customer behavior, like which links they click and how they respond to different campaigns.”
“Reloadify aligns perfectly with where we want to grow.”
Beyond gaining new insights, Anne is busy exploring even more of Reloadify’s features. “Things like setting up automated email campaigns and segmenting our customers so we can communicate with even more precision. By doing this, we’re making sure our emails always provide value and inspire our customers to take action.”
